Please Note: Calculating birth dates is not an exact science. A cats gestation period ranges from 54 to 70 days but the average is 65 days. That's the easy part. However, a queen's heat cycle is approximately 10 days and we leave her in with the stud for 2 weeks. So I calculate the birth date from the third day after the stud has started do his thing and then add 65 days. The actual birth date could be as much as 3 or 4 days on either side of the approximate date I use below.

We reserve the right to keep a kitten from any litter for breeding purposes. Should we decide to do so the decision will be made prior to the kitten reaching 8 weeks of age.

 Pregnant and Hopefully Pregnant Queens

Nadia has been bred to Eddie - Her litter should be born around mid August and be ready to go in mid November. The kittens will be seals and possibly a blue point or two.

June 6 - Larissa and family from Vancouver will be adopting the first girl in Nadia's litter.

Michele has been bred to Eddie - Her kittens should be making their appearance around the end of August and be ready to go to new homes around the end of November. These kittens will all be chocolates.

Chablis has been bred to Butters - These kittens will be born around September 13 and ready for new homes around mid December.  These kittens should be chocolates and seals.

Apr 13 - Krista from Airdrie, Alberta will be adopting the first girl in Chablis's litter.

Planned Future Breedings

We wait at least 6 months after a litter is born before we breed a queen again. She needs the time to get her full health and weight back. Below is our breeding schedule for the next few months. Be advised that the girls' heat cycles do not always coincide with my schedule so there may be some slight changes made to accommodate a heat cycle. After breeding a queen to the stud it usually takes about 3 weeks before we know if the breeding was successful.

As far as colours go, the litter colours below are probabilities (not certainties) based on the genetics of the parents.

August - Bellini to Eddie - These kittens will be chocolates and seals. Ready to go in January

July 9 - Ruth from Qualicum Beach, BC will be adopting Bellini's first girl.

September - Sangria to Butters - These kittens will be all seal points. Ready to go in February

October - Tia to Eddie - These kittens will be blues and lilacs. Ready to go in March

June 3 - Shirley from Vancouver will be adopting the first blue boy from Tia's litter.

July 18 - Catherine from North Vancouver will be adopting the 2nd blue boy.

July 18 - Donna from Port Coquitlam will be adopting the first blue point girl.

October - Nancy to Butters - These kittens will be seal points, maybe a blue point or 2. Ready to go in March

November - Shiraz to Eddie - Kittens will be chocolate and lilac - Ready to go in April.
